Yet I am fortunate that there are some bloody enthusiastic people out there who asked for this and I am a sucker for good spirit.

Elevator Pitch Contest Results!
Thank you to everyone who participated, both our entrants and those who voted! This was a really fun workshop and contest. I know I learned a lot, and I hope all of you did too.
At the end of it, all our contestants put forward really great pitches, and it was hard to narrow them down to just five for the poll. I am sure it wasn't easy to vote either, but you picked our top 3 entries.

Five years ago I had a "finished" manuscript that I decided was ready for the world. People around me always said I should be published, but at that moment I actually felt ready to take the next step. I was going to find someone who could help me turn a novella about the apocalypse into a book ready for the public.
Was I a bit delusional? Sure, but I did learn a lot as I began the journey to being published.
I started the journey by googling literary agents in the greater Toronto area and researched the big publishing companies to read up on their

An employee at a publisher offered to read my manuscript and liked it enough to pass it onto her boss, and asked for a pitch to accompany it, so I included the version I had on hand.
