IT'S BACK! Greetings, all, and welcome to my Thirty-Fourth

FABULOUS FRIDAY FEATURE

If you've got someone you think should be featured in next Friday's Feature, I'd love it if you would send me a note with a link to the deviation in question and I'll take a peek ;) I'd also love to hear about other features, particularly themed ones. I'll list those in the bottom section to help spread the word! The same goes for contests or news articles!

Please favorite this journal and pass it on! And if you liked this feature, be sure to check out the one from last week:

So far I've been able to donate FIVE premium memberships, and I'm only a few hundred points away from being able to give away another one! I want to be able to donate premium memberships to deserving members, so please check out my journal for info on sending nominations:
Pay-It-Forward Project:new:Update: Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, I will not be continuing this project. However, I strongly encourage you all to pay it forward yourselves!

Oklahoma, where the wind came and swept you awayThe wind is sweeping down the plains, wheezing through the aching, battered homestead I yearned for. Amidst forever grass and azure oblivion, you eroded me more than wind ever could; reduced to crystalline rubble, you brushed me off into the carmine clay-dust beneath you and fled, leaving naught but unfillable footprints on unstable ground.
I know I can't build sand castles with these glassy silicon shards, but still I smother them with silt-ridden adhesive and pulverize them into a new shape--a form of me a mirror would admire for a Picasso. Mayhaps an artist's eye will find beauty here someday, but until then I will shelter from rain and locusts and seek a new self in all this titian-tinged glue.

Disability Awareness 2013 The Glossary ProjectThe Reality
A disability is understood as a physical, mental, or developmental condition that limits a person's movements, senses, or activities. A disability is more than an impairment or physical restriction though nowadays; the definition of disability has broadened to include mental and emotional states in recent years. July 14th is a day dedicated to bringing awareness to disabilities of all kinds. The day was started by a UK non-profit.
As I have said in a previous journal for Purple Day, I am very passionate about creating bridges of understanding. If you were to meet me it wouldn't be outwardly obvious that I am considered a person with disabilities, but I have photosensitive epilepsy, ADD, OCD, ODD, and HFA (or Asperger's), to name but a few of my conditions. I'm not alone. Worldwide,
Love dA Lit: Issue 134Welcome to the one-hundred thirty-fourth issue of Love dA Lit! :icondummyloveplz: Every Sunday this article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group or project for two weeks. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.

Literature DD Roundup- June 2013Hello all!
We’re scarily already halfway through the year! Next month sees another round of camp NaNoWrimo as well as the glorious Flash Fiction Month. We hope to see lots of involvement and good writing come out of those!
Us CVs are really keen to see some diversity in our DD choices each month. We’re keen to see pieces that are a little different, or broach genres/themes that perhaps are not as common as others. If you do see anything out there which meets those and are fabulously written, please do send in your DD suggestions to any of us!
Here is the roundup for June

Here are today's featured deviations, in categories according to why I love them. :XD: I hope you will find some that you love, too.

Madeline, better know as imaginative-lioness, has captured the hearts of many here on deviantArt what with her undeniably incredibly gorgeous gallery and equally beautiful and selfless soul. I have been a fan of her simple yet emotionally-strung work for quite sometime. A keen and clear sense of honesty and transparency can be felt throughout most if not all the pieces in her gallery. :eager:
Also, with her fairly recent community-driven project, the LiteratureRoadtrip, Madeline has inspired and further sparked the interest of our precious little literature community to interact, favorite, comment and critique each others body of work. What better time to feature and promote her efforts both as a talented poet and big-hearted deviant than now?

Also note that the terribly sweet SayaStarshine took a look at my list and decided she wanted to do it, too! She is using the same topics as me, and you can find the link to her stuff here.
