Literature Text

The rain flows down my face as I stand hypnotized,
Watching the drops break like glass,
And spray like sparks over the driveway.
The artificial moon
Is blurred, orange, and false,
And perches on the pole like a decrepit bird
And weakly beats back the darkness.
And it reminds me of the moon, the stars of that night,
And as I stand there remembering,
Saltier drops fall to join the rain
That runs away into the sea.
i do love the imagery in this poem...
